The Parallel- Poet CJ

I am the one and two
Just like the one in you

I am the evil to your positive
Without you I would simply not exist

Just about everything has it’s opposite
Yet this one seems so monstrous

Constantly feeling as if there’s something to prove
While the other half would rather relax and cruise

Two opposing sides of a coin
Each charred and scorned

One half prefers the light and the rawest of emotions
While the other half lives to fight and cause commotion

The equal and opposite of any great warrior will always be himself
Striving to defeat you and become someone else

I claim the title of the parallel with bold audacity
If I were to ever let the other side out it would be a promising tragedy

From the trigger to the barrel
My soul sings as loud as a Christmas carol

I am the man in the mirror releasing the thoughts of being inferior
The answer to the question of who will be the new superior
