The Search- Poet CJ

What it is I’m looking for has me so infatuated
I need to find it by myself so I can be the one to say congratulations

Every hiker has their favorite mountain
Just like a runner with a water fountain

I search for the truth of my existence
Am I brand new or have I returned because my soul isn’t finished

What pulls me back to this of all realities?
Is it a sign that I caused some tragedy?

I simply aim to uncover the truth of my origins
So I continue to write my form of poetry

It opens doors and slams them shut
It heals my wounds and seals my cuts

It pushes my creativity to brand new heights
As well pushing as me to see different sights

I’m on a search that may take me a while
So don’t wait for me I’ll be lost in the wild

I’ll return once I’ve found my answers
Maybe I can even find the cure to cancer

What is my purpose and who am I?
To write these thoughts as the poet I am

I’ll never have all the answers and that’s completely fine
Just as long as I learn from it his journey and have a good time
