My Moment- Poet CJ

Waiting on my moment
While proving how much I want it

Staying down until you come up
Seeking the benefits of the next step up

Is your moment something you seek
Or is a single moment merely for keeps

Could your message reach the streets?
Will you have the courage to openly speak?
With the Issues being the topics that plague where you sleep

Is it enough to open the eyes of everyone sleeping?
Can it silence the sounds of those who aren’t believing?

It’s my moment and I’ll rise to the occasion
With a chance to show that I’m chosen I certainly won’t waste it

What does your moment mean compared to another?
Will it stand out or will it fall and shutter?

I’m ready to bask in my moment and become the new standard
Ready to step and assume the mantel

I’ve prepared and studied so why am I waiting
I’ve had to learn that is the moment that is supposed to be taken

So I’m on the way victory and the moment is here
I’ve become my vision and now it’s clear
