Chasing Change- Poet CJ

In pursuit of profit or in pursuit of knowledge

I’m chasing what I’ve forgotten and I get complacent when not acknowledged

I don’t give myself the credit I deserve for all this difference

Resulting in quite a lot of internal belligerence

I don’t buy into the idea of penance due to how many men have dodged a sentence

So I give grace to those in need while playing my cards with those i previously mentioned

I consume and I expel so I don’t overflow my well

While keeping my eyes peeled for the key to keeping me even keeled

I’d be lying if I said it’s easy to chase true change while making change

The game is never the same if you don’t have a name or fame

So to get to the point and keep the message direct don’t ever chase change over change and treat yourself with respect
